A gruesome crime emerged in Chennai's Thoraipakkam area where a woman's severed body parts were found in a suitcase on Thursday. The victim, identified as Deepa alias Vellaiyammal, was murdered by Manikandan following a dispute over money. Manikandan, who had befriended Deepa through a broker, confessed to killing her with a hammer and dismembering her body. Deepa's brother, using a mobile tracking app, located her last known position in Thoraipakkam and informed the police, leading to the discovery of her body. The police have arrested Manikandan and are investigating further to locate the broker involved. CCTV footage played a crucial role in tracking down the suspect.
