Frederik Kjettrup Signs with LIV Golf
LIV Golf has signed 24-year-old Frederik Kjettrup, a promising Danish golfer, to replace Kalle Samooja on the Cleeks team after Samooja's relegation. Kjettrup, who has achieved notable success in the PGA Tour Americas with three wins, including at the Beachlands Victoria Open, has signed a multi-year contract with the Saudi-backed league. Cleeks GC captain Martin Kaymer highlighted Kjettrup's impressive amateur and professional track record as key factors in his selection, stating that Kjettrup's performance and personality were significant considerations. The new signing, who withdrew from the final stage of PGA Tour Q-School, is seen as a rising star in golf, having reached as high as No. 11 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Kjettrup's addition rounds out the Cleeks roster, which includes Kaymer and other teammates Richard Bland and Adrian Meronk. This move reflects LIV Golf's strategy of attracting young talent during its free agency period.
