US Marshals Arrest Suspect in Sayso P Murder

On Oct. 22 U.S. Marshals arrested 23-year-old Kevin “KJ” Brown at a motel on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville, Tenn., and took him to the Montgomery County Jail to be held for the Memphis Police Department. Brown faces first-degree murder, felony criminal attempt/attempted murder, two counts of employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, and theft of property; authorities say a warrant had been outstanding since late March. He is accused of participating in a targeted March 22 daylight shooting outside the Westin Hotel near FedExForum in downtown Memphis that killed rapper Sayso P (Latorian Hunt) and wounded rapper Sauce Walka (Albert Mondane). Investigators allege multiple gunmen exited a vehicle and opened fire and believe Sayso P was the intended target; a second suspect, 21-year-old Jayden Dandridge, was identified soon after and was later found dead in Houston. The arrest was the result of a joint operation by the U.S. Marshals Middle Tennessee Task Force and the Clarksville Police Department, which officials said provided crucial assistance.
