Caitlin Clark Sets Rookie Scoring Record

Caitlin Clark set a career-high with 35 points and broke the WNBA single-season rookie scoring record, previously held by Seimone Augustus, as she led the Indiana Fever to a narrow 110-109 victory over the Dallas Wings. Clark's performance, which also included eight assists, pushed her season total to 761 points. The game secured the Fever the No. 6 seed in the WNBA playoffs, marking their first playoff appearance since 2016. Despite the win, Clark highlighted defensive concerns for the Fever, as the Wings scored 54 points in the paint and 20 on fast breaks. Clark's historic season also includes setting records for single-season assists and becoming the first rookie with multiple triple-doubles.
