Iran Confirms Recovery of General Nilforoushan's Body

Iran confirmed the recovery of Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan's body, a top commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut on September 27, which also took the life of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. The IRGC announced the discovery following a 15-day search in Dahiya, a Hezbollah stronghold, and stated that arrangements for his transfer to Iran and funeral will be announced later. In retaliation for the assassinations, Iran launched approximately 200 missiles at Israeli targets, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has vowed a 'deadly, precise and surprising' response to Iranian aggression.
