Two Teachers Sentenced for Secretly Filming Students

Two former teachers, Siu Kong Sit of Beckman High School in Irvine, California, and Christopher Dalton Schroll of Cleveland Middle School in Tennessee, have been sentenced for secretly recording students. Sit, who hid cameras in school and hotel restrooms, was sentenced to 17 years and six months in prison for possessing child sexual abuse material, including images of children under 12. Schroll, who placed a camera in a girls' locker room and filmed up a student's skirt, received a four-year sentence, with five months to be served in jail and the remainder on supervised probation. Both cases involved the discovery of hidden cameras and significant amounts of illicit footage, causing distress among the victims and their families. Sit’s sentencing follows his guilty plea to possession of child pornography, while Schroll pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated unlawful photography of a minor.
