Cannes Directors' Fortnight 2025 Selects Films from Petzold, Byrne, Campillo

The 2025 Cannes Directors’ Fortnight will feature 18 feature films and 10 short films, opening with Robin Campillo's 'Enzo' and closing with Eva Victor's Sundance sensation 'Sorry, Baby.' Among the notable selections is Sean Byrne's survival horror 'Dangerous Animals,' marking it as the first Australian film showcased in the event since 2014. The lineup also includes Christian Petzold's 'Miroirs No. 3,' alongside a diverse range of international films reflecting contemporary cinema's rich narratives. The organizers emphasized the importance of cinema as a medium that challenges societal norms, highlighting the resilience of filmmakers in a complex world.
