Europe's Largest EV Charging Network Launched Across 25 Countries

Four major European EV charging companies have formed the Spark Alliance to create a unified charging network across Europe, enabling EV drivers to access and pay for charging seamlessly at over 1,700 locations without needing multiple apps. This collaboration aims to simplify the charging experience and address current challenges associated with different operators and pricing structures. In the UK, Brighton and Hove City Council is set to install over 6,000 on-street EV chargers as part of a project described as the largest of its kind in the country, enhancing access for residents without off-street parking. The project, supported by the government's Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure initiative, is expected to facilitate the transition to electric vehicles by ensuring convenient charging options.
