Aurora man shoots ambulance
In Aurora, Colorado, a 34-year-old man faces charges of arson and two counts of attempted murder after allegedly firing at an ambulance responding to a house fire on Friday afternoon. The incident began around 3:20 p.m. when firefighters were on-site to extinguish the blaze and the man emerged from the burning structure armed with a gun. As the Falck Rocky Mountain ambulance arrived, he shot at it, striking the windshield but not injuring the three paramedics inside. Police apprehended the suspect after a brief standoff, using less-lethal rounds, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. Once released, he is expected to be formally arrested. The fire remains under investigation, and one dog was rescued from the scene.
