One Dead in Random Oxford Shooting
A shooting in Oxford, Michigan, on Christmas Eve resulted in one death and two injuries. The incident, which occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Ray Road, is being deemed a 'random' act of violence by authorities, who reported that the suspect was merely passing through the area. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the shooter, a convicted felon with a history of weapon offenses, was arrested at the scene, and a firearm was recovered. The sheriff's office is pursuing all possible charges against the suspect. The deceased victim was among three individuals who were hospitalized, with the other two reportedly on the path to recovery. This shooting comes in the wake of the tragic 2021 Oxford High School shooting that resulted in multiple fatalities.
