Uber Launches Prepaid Ride Passes Across 75 US Cities with Up to 20% Discounts

Uber has introduced a new feature called Prepaid Pass that allows customers to purchase rides in bundles of 5, 10, 15, or 20 trips at discounted rates ranging from 5% to 20%, based on the number of rides bought. This feature is designed to lock in prices for regular routes during a selected one-hour window, protecting riders from surge pricing fluctuations, and is currently available in over 75 cities across the U.S. Prepaid Passes work with UberX rides and can be used for up to 10 distinct routes, with payment accepted through various digital methods including Uber Cash and Uber One credits. Additionally, Uber has expanded its price-lock feature to all major U.S. cities, allowing customers to lock in prices for up to 10 rides on specific routes for a monthly fee. Uber One for Students has also launched in Portugal, offering university students an affordable subscription with discounts on rides, Uber Eats, and other services. These initiatives reflect Uber's strategy to provide cost savings and convenience for frequent riders, including students and families.
