Brazilian Woman Arrested for Child Sex Crimes in MA

Ilma Leandro De Oliveira, a 53-year-old Brazilian national previously deported from the U.S. in 2007 for illegal entry, was arrested in Falmouth, Massachusetts, on March 20, 2025, by federal agents including ICE, FBI, and ATF. She is charged with seven offenses related to the sexual abuse of a child, including rape of a child, incest, aggravated statutory rape, and indecent exposure, stemming from alleged abuse of a victim aged 5 to 13. Following her initial arraignment and release with a GPS monitor, De Oliveira became untraceable for a short time before being taken into federal custody. ICE officials have underscored their commitment to community safety and zero tolerance for such crimes. De Oliveira's custody has been transferred to the U.S. Marshals Service, and she is expected to be prosecuted for both the state charges and illegal reentry after deportation.
