Monaco Royal Family Attends Annual Picnic

The annual Monegasque U Cavagnëtu picnic took place on September 7, 2024, at Parc Princesse Antoinette, attended by Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, and their twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. The event featured performances by the 'La Palladienne' dancers, a mass led by Monsignor Dominique-Marie David, and traditional food offerings, including Monegasque fougasse and Italian cod fritters. Princess Charlene made a fashion statement in a striking red jumpsuit, complemented by Prince Albert's classic navy blazer and the twins' coordinated outfits. Approximately 1,000 Monegasques participated, marking the picnic as a significant social occasion akin to British royal garden parties. Although last year’s picnic faced rumors of a royal rift, this year's event was described as a fun, informal gathering for community interaction. The picnic continues to be a cherished tradition in Monaco, signaling the end of the summer season.
