Atlanta Dream Extend Win Streak to 23 with Second Straight Win Over Lynx
The Minnesota Lynx suffered back-to-back losses for the first time this season after a narrow 75-73 defeat against the Atlanta Dream. Allisha Gray led Atlanta with 27 points, while Rhyne Howard added 16 to help the Dream secure the victory and move into first place in the Eastern Conference. Bridget Carleton posted a season-high 16 points for the Lynx, supported by Jessica Shepard's 15 points and a game-high 16 rebounds. Despite a strong rebounding effort and solid shooting from beyond the arc, Minnesota struggled in the fourth quarter, missing six consecutive shots and ultimately failing to capitalize on late opportunities, including missed layups and turnovers. The Lynx also played without Napheesa Collier, who missed her sixth straight game due to a right ankle injury, prompting Shepard to continue starting. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve acknowledged the team had not performed up to their usual standards and expressed intent to address the issues in upcoming practices.
