American Airlines Launches Exclusive Miami-Bimini Nonstop Flights
American Airlines is launching new nonstop flights from Miami to Bimini, Bahamas, starting February 14, 2025, operating three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays using Embraer E175 aircraft. This route will make American Airlines the only U.S. carrier offering direct service to Bimini, expanding its presence in the Bahamas as its seventh destination in the country. The short one-hour flight aims to provide convenient access to Bimini's popular attractions such as white sand beaches, outdoor activities, and unique marine life experiences, appealing to both leisure travelers and fishing enthusiasts. Flights will be operated under the American Eagle brand, with premium and main cabin seating, and will connect through Miami to over 80 U.S. and Canadian cities. American Airlines highlights this new route as part of its strategy to offer diverse travel experiences, complementing recent international expansions to European cities and ski destinations. The airline also continues to increase service to other Bahamas locations, reinforcing Miami's role as a major hub for Caribbean travel.
