Dubai International Airport achieves record 92.3 million passengers in 2024

Dubai International Airport (DXB) has achieved a record-breaking 92.3 million passengers in 2024, marking a 6% increase from the previous year and the highest annual traffic in its history. This milestone, celebrated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, underscores DXB's ongoing recovery from the pandemic and its status as the world's busiest international airport for over a decade. The airport's performance was bolstered by a busy last quarter, with December alone seeing 8.2 million travelers. DXB is on track to reach a target of 100 million annual passengers by 2027, supported by substantial expansion plans for Al Maktoum International Airport, which will eventually accommodate 260 million passengers per year. With 440,300 flights handled in 2024 and connections to 272 destinations across 107 countries, DXB continues to solidify its role as a global hub for travel and commerce. The airport's success reflects Dubai's ambitions to enhance its position in the international aviation sector and support its economic goals.
