Trailer Drops for Lanthimos, Stone's 'Bugonia'

Focus Features has released the first trailer for 'Bugonia,' an English-language remake of the 2003 South Korean sci-fi comedy 'Save the Green Planet!'. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and starring Emma Stone as a powerful CEO believed to be an alien, the film follows two conspiracy-obsessed friends who kidnap her, convinced she is plotting Earth's destruction. Jesse Plemons stars as one of the kidnappers, with Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone in supporting roles. This marks the fourth feature collaboration between Lanthimos and Stone, following their work on 'Poor Things' and 'The Favourite,' and the film is co-produced by Ari Aster and others. 'Bugonia' will premiere in select theaters on October 24, 2025, with a wide release on October 31. The teaser highlights Lanthimos's trademark mix of dark comedy, absurdity, and suspense.
