The incident occurred after Ipswich secured a 2-1 victory over Wolves, during which Cunha was involved in a physical confrontation, reportedly snatching glasses from an Ipswich staff member. Cunha admitted to the misconduct charge, and the punishment was confirmed by an independent Regulatory Commission. As a result, he will miss upcoming matches against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League and Bristol City in the FA Cup. Despite his disciplinary issue, Cunha has been a key performer for Wolves, scoring 10 goals in 19 Premier League games this season.
