Norwegian Cruise Line Recognizes Teachers with Free Cruises and Exclusive Grand Prizes

Norwegian Cruise Line is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week in 2025 by reviving its Giving Joy program, which recognizes outstanding educators across the U.S. and Canada. From May 5 to May 31, the public can nominate certified teachers who have made a significant impact through their dedication, creativity, and positive influence on students and communities. A panel will select 20 top educators to receive a three- or four-day cruise for two aboard the new Norwegian Luna, debuting in spring 2026, with the top three also earning an exclusive invitation to the ship's christening voyage from Miami. Since its launch in 2019, the Giving Joy program has received nearly 61,000 nominations, awarded over 270 teachers with vacations, and donated more than $515,000 to educators and their schools. The program aims to highlight the essential role teachers play and to honor their commitment and adaptability in the classroom. NCL President David J. Herrera emphasized the company's pride in supporting teachers who shape future generations.
