New Hunger Games Prequel Book Announced

Suzanne Collins' upcoming novel, 'Sunrise on the Reaping', is set to be released on March 18, 2025, focusing on the Second Quarter Quell, known as the 50th Hunger Games. The story follows Haymitch Abernathy, a beloved character from the series, as he navigates the fear and challenges of being a tribute, along with three others from District 12. The novel will explore themes of propaganda and the power dynamics within the dystopian world of Panem. Additionally, a film adaptation is already in development, scheduled to premiere on November 20, 2026. Scholastic will publish the book in multiple formats, with a first printing of 2.5 million copies worldwide. This new installment marks the first addition to the series since 'The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes' in 2020.
