Rob Reiner Discusses Spinal Tap II Sequel Release

Rob Reiner and the original cast of "This is Spinal Tap" have reunited for the long-awaited sequel, "Spinal Tap II: The End Continues," which follows the band 40 years later as they prepare for a final concert. Initially reluctant to create a sequel, Reiner and the cast were eventually drawn back by the idea of exploring the band's journey over the intervening years and the fun they had collaborating musically. To coincide with the sequel's release, Reiner has published a new book, "A Fine Line Between Stupid and Clever: The Story of Spinal Tap," offering fans behind-the-scenes insights and memoirs from the band members and the film’s documentarian character. The original film is recognized as a cult classic that helped launch the mockumentary genre and has been preserved by the National Film Registry. Reiner and the cast continue to celebrate the film's legacy while bringing fresh life to the beloved characters in the sequel.
