Corcoran first saw the apartment in 1992 while working as a courier and was captivated by its terrace and Central Park views, asking the owner to contact her if it was ever for sale. Over two decades later, she purchased the duplex for $10 million in 2015 and spent about $2 million on extensive renovations, transforming the space while preserving the iconic curved staircase. The penthouse features five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two half baths, a library with a wood-burning fireplace, and a chef’s kitchen opening onto the terrace. Corcoran is selling the home due to the difficulty she and her husband now have navigating the staircase, opting instead for a single-story penthouse nearby. She views the listing price as fair, despite it being slightly below her total investment in the property.
