TDE Hosts Annual Christmas Concert in Watts

Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) celebrated its 20th anniversary by hosting its 11th annual Christmas Concert and Toy Drive in Nickerson Gardens, Watts, on December 12-13, attracting over 10,000 attendees who contributed $750,000 in toys and clothing for local families. The event featured performances from TDE artists including SZA, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay Rock, with attendees gaining entry through donations of unwrapped toys or clothing. Day two focused on community outreach, offering a toy giveaway, job fair, and various activities for families, highlighting TDE's commitment to uplifting under-resourced communities. With sponsorship from brands like Amazon and Converse, TDE reinforced its cultural significance and philanthropic efforts. This concert not only celebrated music but also emphasized the label's deep roots in the local community, as both Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and Jay Rock grew up in the area. Looking ahead, TDE artists are gearing up for a Grand National Tour, promising continued engagement and entertainment in 2024.
