Meanwhile, Laredo, Texas, broke ground on a new affordable senior apartment project, Avanti Legacy Rosewood, which will provide 86 independent living units, with completion expected by December 2025. Additionally, Pasadena's non-enforcement outreach program, PORT, has successfully housed 42 individuals and provided extensive health services to the homeless population. The initiative emphasizes a comprehensive approach to homelessness, contrasting with traditional law enforcement methods. Both projects highlight ongoing efforts to improve housing and support for vulnerable senior populations.
