Crews Search for Missing Paddleboarder Richard Powers at Saguaro Lake

Richard Powers, a 65-year-old man, went missing while paddleboarding at Saguaro Lake in the Tonto National Forest early on August 17. He was last seen around 5:45 a.m. near Boat Ramp 1, wearing a lime green hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, and flip flops. Authorities found his paddleboard and personal belongings on the south side of the lake near Captain’s Nook, but Powers himself has not been located. Rescue crews and investigators continue to search the area for him. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them. Saguaro Lake is located about an hour east of Phoenix.
