Indiana Fever's Kelsey Mitchell Breaks Franchise 3-Point Record

Kelsey Mitchell of the Indiana Fever made franchise history by surpassing Tamika Catchings for the most three-pointers made in franchise history, reaching 607 career threes during a game against the New York Liberty. Mitchell, who was drafted second overall in 2018, has become a key scoring presence and veteran leader for the Fever, currently averaging a career-best 19.3 points per game. Tamika Catchings, a Hall of Famer and franchise legend with a 15-season career, congratulated Mitchell in a video message, expressing pride in the milestone being broken by Mitchell. Despite Mitchell's record-breaking performance, the Fever lost the game 98-77 to the Liberty and faced challenges with star Caitlin Clark sidelined due to injury. Mitchell is also recognized for her leadership on and off the court, having received the Dawn Staley Community Leadership Award in 2023. She, along with teammates Clark and Aliyah Boston, is set to participate in the upcoming WNBA All-Star game.
