Man City Women Dismiss Coach Gareth Taylor

Manchester City Women's team has parted ways with head coach Gareth Taylor, citing the team's failure to meet competitive standards in the Women's Super League (WSL) this season. Taylor, who took over in 2020, led the team to an FA Cup win in 2020 and a League Cup victory in 2022, but City is currently fourth in the WSL, trailing leaders Chelsea by 12 points. The decision comes shortly after a 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final victory over Aston Villa and just days before the League Cup final against Chelsea. Nick Cushing, who Taylor succeeded, will take over as interim manager for the remainder of the season.
