Arch Manning Shines in First Start for Texas
In his first career start, Texas quarterback Arch Manning led the No. 1 Longhorns to a 51-3 victory over Louisiana-Monroe, throwing for 258 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Manning, stepping in for the injured Quinn Ewers, overcame an early interception to guide Texas to touchdowns on six of his 10 drives. Running back Jaydon Blue also starred, rushing for 124 yards and scoring four total touchdowns. The Texas defense dominated, holding ULM to 111 total yards and forcing multiple turnovers. Despite some mistakes and penalties, Manning's performance showcased his potential, demonstrating strong arm talent and composure. Texas now looks ahead to SEC play, with Ewers expected to return soon.
