Husband Shoots Wife Outside Wichita School

A domestic dispute escalated into a shooting outside Cessna Elementary School in Wichita, Kansas, on Monday morning. A 46-year-old man allegedly shot his 30-year-old wife multiple times after an argument in a Lyft vehicle while dropping off their children at school. Both individuals are in critical condition at a hospital. The school was placed on lockdown, but no students or staff were injured. A Sedgwick County deputy responded quickly, shooting and disarming the suspect who was holding a gun to the woman's head. The suspect is expected to be charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer once released from the hospital.
