Islanders Defeat Sabres 4-3, End Losing Streak
The New York Islanders ended their three-game losing streak by defeating the Buffalo Sabres 4-3 on Friday night, despite injuries to defensemen Mike Reilly and Adam Pelech. Bo Horvat and Maxim Tsyplakov each contributed a goal and an assist, helping the Islanders rally after falling behind early to a power-play goal from Dylan Cozens. The Islanders quickly equalized and then took control of the game with goals from Tsyplakov and Kyle Palmieri, who scored on a power play. Although the Sabres fought back with goals from Jason Zucker and Owen Power, the Islanders secured the win with Jean-Gabriel Pageau's goal in the third period. The Sabres continue to struggle, having lost two consecutive games after a short winning streak. The Islanders will next face the New York Rangers, while the Sabres head to Detroit to play the Red Wings.
