In collegiate wrestling, Lehigh University announced its schedule for the 2024-25 season, including a highly anticipated rivalry dual against Penn State on December 8 at PPL Center in Allentown, where both teams will showcase several NCAA champions. This match will mark the second college wrestling event at the PPL Center, following a 2017 duel that set attendance records. Penn State, the reigning NCAA champion, has a strong lineup with multiple returning All-Americans, while Lehigh aims to improve on its 15th place finish from last year’s championships. The historic series between the two teams shows Penn State leading with a record of 74-34-3, having won the last 13 encounters.
