Dream Theater Announces Sixteenth Album Parasomnia

Dream Theater has announced their sixteenth studio album, 'Parasomnia', set to release on February 7, 2025, marking the first album featuring drummer Mike Portnoy since 2009's 'Black Clouds & Silver Linings'. This album will be accompanied by a 40th-anniversary world tour, beginning in London just days before the album drops. The first single, 'Night Terror', is a nearly ten-minute track that showcases the band's signature progressive metal style and is complemented by a dark music video directed by Mike Leonard. The album, produced by guitarist John Petrucci, runs for 71 minutes and features eight tracks, exploring themes of sleep disturbances. 'Parasomnia' will be available in various formats, including a deluxe box set containing additional content such as instrumentals and a Blu-ray. Pre-orders begin on October 11, and fans can catch the band live on their extensive tour across Europe and beyond.
