Kevin Kangethe Extradited to US for Murder

Kevin Kangethe, a Kenyan man accused of murdering his girlfriend, Margaret Mbitu, and leaving her body in a car at Boston's Logan International Airport, has been extradited to the United States and will face charges in Suffolk Superior Court. Kangethe fled to Kenya after the alleged murder on October 31, 2023, and was captured in January 2024. He managed to escape from a Kenyan police station but was recaptured in February. The extradition process took several months, and he renounced his US citizenship during this period. Mbitu, who worked as a health care aide, was last seen on October 30. Her family has expressed gratitude to the authorities for their efforts in bringing Kangethe to justice.
