Multiple Police Officers Dismissed for Sexual Assaults Across UK

Metropolitan Police officer PC Giovanni Mascia was dismissed without notice after a misconduct panel found he had assaulted and threatened a woman he knew on multiple occasions while off duty between August and November 2022. The panel determined that Mascia assaulted the woman twice, threatened to kill her, and later threatened to destroy her property if she refused to speak with him, concluding his actions amounted to gross misconduct. As a result, Mascia has been placed on the College of Policing's barred list, preventing him from working for any UK police force or oversight body.
