Robbie Henshaw Extends IRFU Contract Through 2026

Robbie Henshaw, a key player for both Ireland's national rugby team and Leinster, has signed a two-year contract extension with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) until the 2025/26 season. Henshaw, 31, has been instrumental in Ireland's rugby success, having won five Six Nations titles alongside teammates such as Conor Murray and Cian Healy. He has earned 77 caps for Ireland since his debut in 2013 and has scored 10 tries. Henshaw has also made significant contributions to Leinster, playing 95 matches and scoring 100 points. Despite interest from French Top 14 clubs, Henshaw chose to stay in Ireland, emphasizing the quality of support and facilities provided by the IRFU. IRFU performance director David Humphreys praised him as a consummate professional and a vital part of Ireland's competitive rugby backline.
