Ex-MLB Star Rafael Furcal Arrested Florida Felony Charges
Former MLB All-Star Rafael Furcal, 47, was arrested in Florida on felony charges including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle. According to police and victim accounts, Furcal allegedly threw rocks and a plastic bottle at a truck driver after a near collision, causing injuries when a rock struck the victim's hand. The victim also punched Furcal before he fled the scene. Furcal turned himself in at Broward County jail and was released on bond shortly after. Furcal had a 14-year MLB career, playing for teams such as the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Miami Marlins, earning three All-Star selections and winning a World Series with the Cardinals in 2011. The specific circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
