NFL Plans Eight International Games for 2025

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced plans for the league to host eight international regular-season games in 2025, more than doubling the previous maximum of five. The destinations will include Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Spain, and potentially Ireland and the UK. This expansion follows the successful implementation of international games since 2007, with the league aiming to enhance its global presence. Notably, the NFL will mark its first game in Spain at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. Goodell emphasized the desire to return to previously visited locations, including Mexico City, where the last game took place in 2022. The league is also exploring future international opportunities, including games in Australia, France, and possibly even a Super Bowl in London.
