Harrison Burton Joins Rick Ware Racing for NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro

Harrison Burton will return to the NASCAR Cup Series this weekend for the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, driving the No. 51 Morton Buildings Ford for Rick Ware Racing (RWR). Burton secured a guaranteed starting spot in the event by winning the 2024 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway but needed to find a team to compete with this year, which he found in RWR. This marks both Burton's and RWR's first time locked into the All-Star Race main event, as Burton has previously attempted to qualify through the Open without success. Burton, who raced full-time in the Cup Series from 2022 to 2024 and is currently competing full-time in the Xfinity Series with AM Racing, expressed excitement about the opportunity to race among the sport's best. Cody Ware, RWR's usual driver of the No. 51, will instead drive the No. 15 in the All-Star Open, aiming to qualify for the main event. Team owner Rick Ware highlighted the significance of this milestone for the organization and praised Burton's deserving spot in the race.
