PV Sindhu Hires Interim Coaching Team

PV Sindhu, a double Olympic medallist, has enlisted South Korean great Lee Hyun Il and former Indian shuttler Anup Sridhar as part of her interim coaching team until December 2024. This move follows the end of her contract with coach Agus Dwi Santoso after the Paris Olympics 2024. Sindhu is preparing for her return to competitive action at the Arctic Open and Denmark Open in October. Her father, PV Ramana, emphasized that Sindhu aims to target the 2026 Asian Games and potentially the next Olympics, despite having nothing left to prove. Both Hyun Il and Sridhar bring extensive experience and strategic expertise to help Sindhu regain her form and achieve her goals. The decision on a permanent coaching team will be made by the end of the year.
