Marvel’s Blade Film Faces Script, Director Setbacks

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has confirmed that the long-delayed 'Blade' film, starring Mahershala Ali, remains in active development. The project was delayed due to Marvel's over-expansion and a shift from prioritizing quality during the Disney+ era, resulting in multiple script rewrites and the exit of two directors. The story, originally set in the past, will now take place in the modern day and is being rewritten by Eric Pearson. Feige mentioned that unused Blade costumes were loaned to Ryan Coogler's 'Sinners' due to production setbacks. Currently, no director is attached to the film. Marvel remains committed to ensuring the movie meets high standards before moving forward.
