Avatar: Seven Havens Sequel Revealed After Korra at SDCC
Nickelodeon has officially unveiled Avatar: Seven Havens at San Diego Comic Con 2025, marking the next mainline series in the Avatar universe. Set immediately after The Legend of Korra, the story follows Pavi, a young Earthbender who becomes the new Avatar in a dystopian world where the Avatar is now viewed as a threat rather than a savior. The series, created by original showrunners Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, will explore the aftermath of Korra's actions, which have destabilized the balance between the human and spirit worlds, forcing survivors to live in the Seven Havens. Pavi, who is missing a leg and accompanied by her twin and a mysterious feline companion, is hunted by both humans and spirits, and must uncover her origins to save civilization’s last strongholds. Seven Havens will premiere in 2027 on Nickelodeon with 26 episodes across two seasons, and will feature a cast of new characters while possibly including legacy cast appearances. The announcement also coincides with news of an upcoming film focusing on Aang and his friends as young adults, with an emphasis on more authentic casting.
