An early Wednesday morning crash on North Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro, near the Dollar General store, caused significant disruptions including downed power lines and the closure of the road in both directions. Murfreesboro Police redirected southbound traffic onto Riverview and Haynes streets, while northbound lanes remained completely blocked, prompting drivers to seek alternate routes. Middle Tennessee Electric crews responded promptly to the scene to undertake major repairs, with the restoration expected to be completed by early afternoon. The incident forced police to block all lanes and direct U-turns for several hours until the repairs were finished.
