Nebraska Teams Return, Volunteer Efforts Continue

Volunteers, especially those with boats, are needed to help clear debris from Hurricane Helene in lakes near Charlotte, with cleanup events scheduled by local organizations for October 26 and November 2. Meanwhile, Nebraska National Guard troops and other Nebraska-based teams such as OPPD and Nebraska Task Force 1 have returned home after assisting in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton in the southeast United States. Teams, including NPPD crews, contributed to power restoration efforts, aiding over 80,000 customers in Orlando following the hurricanes.
