Brad Marchand Eyes Training Camp Amid Recovery
Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand underwent three surgeries during the offseason to repair a torn tendon in his elbow, as well as groin and sports hernia issues. Despite these injuries, Marchand played all 82 games in the 2023-24 season, scoring 29 goals and 38 assists. He resumed training only two weeks ago and is aiming to be ready for training camp on September 18, though he acknowledges he might not be fully conditioned until the season starts. Marchand is entering the final year of his contract and has not engaged in public discussions about his future with the team. The Bruins are set to begin their season on October 8 against the Florida Panthers.
