Carolina Hurricanes Defeat Rangers 3-1

The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New York Rangers 3-1, breaking a five-game road losing streak. Goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov had a standout performance, making 22 saves and assisting on two goals, becoming only the second goalie in franchise history to achieve a multi-point game. The Rangers initially took the lead with a goal just 17 seconds in from Jimmy Vesey, but the Hurricanes quickly rallied, with goals from William Carrier and Jack Roslovic, the latter coming on a power play. Sebastian Aho sealed the victory with an empty-netter late in the third period. The Rangers have now lost four consecutive home games and are struggling, having dropped five of their last six overall. The Hurricanes will continue their road trip against the Nashville Predators next.
