Bautista: No Patience for Complaining Costars
Dave Bautista told Collider that he has no patience for co‑stars who are 'b*tching, complaining, moaning and groaning' on set, saying life is 'too short' to work with negative people. He called filmmaking a privilege and praised director J.J. Perry for creating a positive, supportive set. Bautista admitted he initially resisted taking another action role in Afterburn but signed on out of respect for Perry. He said that, now able to choose projects, he wants to work only with people he loves and respects. Bautista also outlined a busy upcoming slate — including Trap House (Nov. 14), Grendel (as Beowulf), Alpha Gang, The Wrecking Crew and a comedy with Anne Hathaway — and noted other actors, like Chris Pratt, have voiced similar frustrations about on‑set professionalism.
