Montenegro Shooting Suspect Dies from Injuries
In a tragic incident in Cetinje, Montenegro, a mass shooter identified as Aleksandar Martinovic, 45, killed at least 12 people, including two children, before dying from self-inflicted injuries during a police standoff. The rampage began at a restaurant, after which Martinovic moved to three other locations, resulting in multiple fatalities and four serious injuries. Interior Minister Danilo Saranovic confirmed that Martinovic attempted suicide when cornered by police, shooting himself in the head. Authorities are investigating the motive, as the victims were reportedly acquaintances of the gunman. The incident has shocked the nation, leading Prime Minister Milojko Spajic to declare three days of mourning. Mass shootings are rare in Montenegro, which has a strong gun culture despite strict laws.
