Paul Prichard appointed interim head coach of Hampshire Women

Hampshire Cricket has appointed Paul Prichard as the interim head coach of their women's team, following the departure of Charlotte Edwards, who has taken over as head coach of the England Women's team. Prichard, who joined the coaching staff at Utilita Bowl in 2022 and has a significant playing background with Essex, expressed his honor in taking on this role and his commitment to uphold the core values established by Edwards. He will oversee a squad that blends youth and experience as they prepare for their 2025 season, starting with an away match against Warwickshire on April 23. Hampshire will compete in a restructured women's domestic season, being one of eight professional Tier 1 teams. Prichard's coaching experience includes roles with the Southern Vipers and various youth programs. He is set to remain in the position until the end of the 2025 season.
