New Peaky Blinders Series Set in 1953 Birmingham

The BBC and Netflix have commissioned two new six-episode series continuing the Peaky Blinders saga, set in 1953 and following a new generation of the Shelby family after World War II and the events of an upcoming film. Creator Steven Knight will return to write the new chapters, and Cillian Murphy is confirmed as an executive producer, though it is unclear which original cast members — including Murphy — will appear on-screen. The series will be produced by Garrison Drama and Kudos and filmed at Digbeth Loc Studios in Birmingham. It will air on BBC One in the UK and stream globally on Netflix.
