Investigation Underway in Fatal Hit-and-Run

The West Palm Beach Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident involving 27-year-old Ronaldo Hernandez-Velasquez, who was struck by an SUV while crossing Broadway Avenue on Sunday night. A Toyota Camry following the SUV also hit Hernandez-Velasquez but the driver of the Camry remained at the scene and will not face charges. Hernandez-Velasquez was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center, where he died shortly after arrival. The SUV's driver fled the scene, and police are actively seeking information regarding the vehicle, described as black-over-tan. Meanwhile, in Tampa, police are searching for a driver involved in a separate hit-and-run that resulted in a pedestrian's death after being struck by a dark pickup truck. Both investigations are ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
